Terms & Conditions

1. General 

The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions and all orders are made subject to your acceptance of them. Please read them carefully before placing your order as your order will be accepted strictly on the understanding that you accept these conditions of sale. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect your statutory rights. We may not be able to accept your order, or part of your order, due to one of the following reasons: 

-  authorisation of your payment failed 
-  we made a pricing or product description error 
-  you are requesting delivery outside of the UK 
-  product has been discontinued by the manufacturer 
-  If there are any problems with an order, you'll be contacted by one of our Customer Services Advisors. 

2. Trading Name 

All orders are placed with The London Cooker Co. or Stoves of Anglia which is a trading name of The London Cooker Company Ltd, Registered Company No. 8118791  

3. Prices & Cancellation Charges 

Prices are quoted by the Company in £ Sterling inclusive of VAT but exclusive of delivery charges, which shall be as ruling at the date of our acceptance of the order. The Company reserves the right to invoice the goods at the price ruling at the date of despatch. An order acknowledgement reference number will be given to you when your order is accepted and any items, which are out of stock, will be notified to you by telephone or e-mail. Any cancellation of a cooker order will be subject to a minimum cancellation charge of £500. This charge may be higher depending on the length of elapsed time between order and cancellation date. 
The company reserves the right to revise prices and details without notice. 

4. Delivery 

Delivery will be charged at the rate ruling at date of order. All orders received will be despatched on within two working days subject to availability. All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over, and if no one is available at the address at the time of delivery, the goods will be retained by the driver. Notification of the attempt to deliver will be left by the delivery company. Failure to organise redelivery or collection of the goods from a local collection point will result in the goods being returned to us. 
Please note that delivery can take place any time up to 5.30 pm, unfortunately we are unable to offer timed deliveries. 

5. Payment 

Payment may be made by Debit/Credit card, BACS Transfer or Cheque and the Company will make reasonable endeavours to ensure that your order and payment details remain secure.  

6. Product and Service Guarantee  

Renovated AGA Purchases

a)  We offer a 5 year parts warranty (initial 12 months parts and labour) on all Re-Conditioned AGA Cookers bought from The London Cooker Co. Ltd. For       exclusions see point 6.b)
b) We offer a 12 month parts and labour warranty on any gas burner/valve, oil regulator, fire valves, thermostat, limit stats, oven elements, luminaires or grills etc purchased from The London Cooker Co. Ltd. 
c) We will endeavour to attend any problems arising within 14 days from initial point of contact. 
d) Any day to day running or misuse/abuse or wear and tear and/or servicing issues fall outside the scope of any warranty. 
e) If we are of the opinion that a problem falls within the scope of point d) above it will be the responsibility of the client to diagnose the problem with their local service engineer. 
f) It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the appliance is serviced within the timescale appropriate to the appliance – see section 8 for details. The absence of evidence of such servicing will void any warranty terms.

Renovation of existing AGA 

g) On an existing appliance we will not be held responsible for problems associated with any existing gas burner/valve, oil regulator, thermostat, heating elements, limit stats, oven elements, luminaires or grills etc.
h) If we are of the opinion that a problem falls within the scope of point g) above it will be the responsibility of the client to diagnose the problem with their local service engineer. 
i) It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the appliance is serviced within the timescale appropriate to the appliance i.e. every six months for oil, twelve   months for gas and five years for electric. The absence of evidence of such servicing may void the warranty.


We can unfortunately not offer any warranty on thermocouples, fuses or issues arising from poor oil quality.

7. Workmanship Warranty 

There is a 6 year insurance backed workmanship warranty backed by OFTEC on all oil fired installations. Consult OFTEC for full details.

8. Maintenance

Warranty terms are invalidated should the appliance not be maintained as per follows;

Oil Fired Appliance: Service required every six months from date of installation
Gas Fired Appliance: Service required every 12 months from date of installation
Electric Appliance: Service required every 5 years from date of installation

It is the customer’s responsibility to monitor and pay for the servicing costs of the appliance.
It is the customer’s responsibility to monitor and pay for the running costs of the appliance.

9. Materials

We use genuine, third party and pattern spares in the renovation of appliances. Some models may be subject to modification and/or fuel conversion. Information on any of these services is transparent and available upon request. The views/opinions of any third party fall out with the jurisdiction of any contract made between The London Cooker Co. and the customer.

10. Returned Goods

If goods are damaged in transit please notify us immediately by telephoning our Customer Support Department on (01234) 213 933. A customer advisor will be able to take your call Monday to Friday from 9.00am until 5.00pm. Please note that this call can be recorded for security and training purposes. Details of how to return goods for any other reason can also be obtained by telephoning this number or by e-mailing info@londoncooker.com

Acceptance of any goods that may qualify for refund will only be confirmed after return and inspection of any returned goods. Refunds will only be issued where goods are returned in the condition they were provided. Subsequent refunds will be made payable 28 days after acceptance of goods.

Please have your order confirmation number available at the time of telephoning. Any refunds given will be made direct to your bank account. Under no circumstances will a credit note or cash be issued by way of refund.

11. Third Party/Public Liability 

Save in so far as defects in the products or the negligence of the Company cause death or personal injury the Company shall in no circumstances be under any liability in contract, tort or otherwise for direct or indirect consequential or incidental loss or damages whatsoever kind and howsoever caused, suffered by the Customer or others arising out of or in connection with the sale, supply or operation of goods under these Terms, save as may be expressly imposed by statute. Without prejudice to the foregoing the Company's liability for any loss or damage shall be limited to the invoice value of the goods. 

12. Health & Safety 

It is the Company's intention to comply at all times with all relevant UK Laws including Health and Safety at Work and Environmental Protection Acts.

13. Law & Jurisdiction 

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in all aspects in respect of the laws of England and shall be subject only to the jurisdiction of the English courts.

14. Disclaimer

The London Cooker Co. Ltd are an independent range cooker renovation company that are in no way affiliated with the AGA Rangemaster Group or any of its affiliates.             

15. Reliance on Information on our Services 

Information published via our Services is intended solely for the purpose of providing general information and is not intended to amount to advice on which reliance should be placed. We do not warrant that any Materials are accurate or free from error and we disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on any content on our Services by you or by anyone who may be informed of any of the contents of our Services.  
You acknowledge that when using our Services you may be exposed to Materials from a variety of sources and that we are not responsible for the content, truth, accuracy, usefulness or safety of such Materials. We do not endorse any User Contributions or any opinion, recommendation or advice expressed in any User Contribution and we disclaim any and all liability in connection with such User Contributions or other material.
